Climate Atlas

As a result of global climate change, the distribution of climate in the world and Japan has changed significantly over the past 50 to 100 years. In addition, when discussing annual climate anomalies (extreme weather events), the term “normal year” is often used for referring to the most recent 30 years (updated every 10 years), but in some cases, climate maps in textbooks and atlases do not specify the year or are based on old normal years.

JCDP will release the latest original climate atlases created by our staff and climate specialists for use in research and education.
The Japan-Asia Climate Data Program (JCDP) retains the copyright of all the illustrations, so if you wish to use them in your research, education, publications, media, etc., please specify the source below.
